Leilani Rudow Beaver is an associate attorney at Kaufman Legal Group where she advises candidates, officeholders, political action committees and independent expenditure committees on federal, state and local campaign finance laws. She also advises exempt organizations on the tax implications of engaging in political and lobbying activities. In addition, Ms. Beaver manages and oversees exempt organization tax filings and political committee audits conducted by the Fair Political Practices Commission, Franchise Tax Board and other local agencies.

Ms. Beaver joined the firm in 2000, rising steadily through the ranks to become the Director of the firm’s Political Compliance Department. After passing the California Bar in 2006, she became an associate attorney with the firm. With her extensive experience having prepared thousands of campaign finance disclosure reports, Ms. Beaver understands the practical applications of federal, state and local campaign finance disclosure laws and utilizes this experience when advising clients.

Ms. Beaver earned her Bachelor’s degree in History, with a minor in Mathematics, from Loyola Marymount University in 1999, and her law degree in December 2005 from Southwestern University School of Law. She is a member of the California Political Attorneys Association and California Political Treasurers Association.
