Ernesto Alcázar joined Kaufman Legal Group as a Political Accounts Analyst in June of 2011. Ernesto processes contributions for the firm’s clients, including candidates, elected officials, labor unions, non-profit organizations and political committees, and helps set up their on-line fundraising systems. Ernesto works closely with attorneys and account supervisors to ensure compliance with state and local campaign finance laws.

Before joining Kaufman Legal Group, Ernesto worked as the Compliance Director for Senator Barbara Boxer's re-election campaign from November 2008 to December 2010. In that position, he oversaw the processing of over $28 million dollars in campaign contributions. Ernesto’s path to politics and political compliance first began when he joined political consulting firm Progressive Strategy Partners in November 2007, as a Data Analyst.

Ernesto graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he double majored in Chicano Studies and Spanish with a minor in Global Peace and Security. While he was in school, Ernesto was a member of “La Escuelita,” which provided tutoring for local grade school children.
